They can produce high-quality evidence at speed. \n\nUnfortunately, not many SWATs are carried out.\n\nThat's where the Implement SWATs project comes in. \n\nOver the next ten years, we will use coordinated SWATs to develop evidence on the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of recruitment and retention strategies. \n\nWe will then use implementation science to support trial teams to use this evidence quickly and effectively.\n\nImplement SWATs comprises five linked work-packages. \n\nWork-package 1 will identify and prioritise promising recruitment and retention strategies. \nWork-package 2 will test high-priority strategies using coordinated SWATs. \nWork-package 3 will develop guidelines for evidence-based and cost-effective trial recruitment and retention. \nWork-package 4 will develop and apply a strategy for implementing the guidelines. \nFinally, work-package 5 will evaluate the strategy for implementing the guidelines.\n\nBy identifying and implementing effective recruitment and retention strategies, more people can participate in trials, speeding up health innovation and reducing research waste. \n\nWork with us to improve health outcomes for everyone.",{"sectionLabel":81},"DRIFT Participant Information Animation",{"type":83,"settings":84,"title":66,"text":85,"image":86,"sectionSettings":89},"text_and_image",{"imgWidth":64,"imgPosition":65},"Over the course of a decade, implement SWATs aims to increase the use of evidence-based strategies for recruiting and retaining participants in randomised trials.
